What is Weaving?

Weaving is an ancient craft that involves interlacing threads or yarns to create fabric. 

 

One of the main differences between weaving and knitting is the tools used. Weavers typically work on a loom, a frame or machine used to hold the threads in place while the weaver creates the fabric. Additionally, woven fabrics tend to be more structured and less stretchy than knitted ones, which makes them ideal for garments like home textiles.Weaving also offers endless possibilities for color and texture through techniques like hand-dyeing fibers, allowing artisans to create unique and personalized pieces.
